John Abel, Sr.

John Abel, Sr., 90, of Atoka, passed away on Monday, August 2. Mr. Abel was a retired truck driver with Miller Transportation and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Abel is survived by his son, John (Dianne) Abel, Jr.; one grandson, William "Billy" Abel and two great grandchildren, Eli Abel and Maryssa Abel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Advil Lee and Ruby Crisp Abel; his wife, Nancy Johnson Abel; one brother, Marvin Abel and two sisters, Louise Abel and Kay Able. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home and no services are planned.
