Jimmy Sorrell

Jimmy Sorrell, 80, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, July 15.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 19 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Mr. Sorrell was a retired manager with Blue Bell Ice Cream and a U. S. Army veteran.  He is survived by two sons, Dayton Sorrell of Covington and Sheldon Sorrell of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Sherry Sorrell and Tina Sorrell, both of Dallas, TX; one grandson, Austin Sorrell of Covington; one sister, Beverly Ann McIntyre of Covington and one brother, Robert Sorrell of Germantown.
