Jewell Cochran, 73, of Covington, passed away on Monday, January 8. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 14 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Cochran was a former production worker with Mueller Brass. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Byrd Cochran; three sons, Dwayne Cochran of Drummonds, Matt Cochran and John Cochran, both of Covington; one daughter, Becky Wallace of Brighton; two brothers, Mike Cochran of Covington and Cecil Cochran of Shelby County; two sisters, Norma Bernard of Covington and Faye Ross of Florida; eight grandchildren, Laura Cochran, Bailee Wallace, Breanna Cochran, Peyton Cochran, Brad Wallace, Bennett Wallace, Brady Cochran, and Terrell Buck Jr.; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby Cochran; six brothers, Jeff Cochran, Ernie Cochran, John Cochran, L. D. Cochran, Jerry Cochran and Buddy Cochran and two sisters, Alice Meroney and Jill Ruffin.
