Jerry Cothran

Jerry Cothran, 76, of Burlison, passed away on Monday, May 27.  Mr. Cothran was self employed electrician, a carpenter at the Memphis VA hospital, a member of the Elm Grove Methodist Church and a U. S. Army veteran.  He is survived by one daughter, Charlene (Anthony) Lynch of Hernando; one son, Steve Cothran of Burlison; one brother, Johnny Cothran of Burlison and one grandson, Devin Tice of Southaven.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Bernice Bradshaw Cothran and one brother, Adrian Cothran.  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 29 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at the funeral home.
