Jean McClain

Jean McClain, 78, of Brighton, passed away on Sunday, September 11 at her home. Ms. McClain was a woman of many talents and interests. Over her lifetime she was a homemaker, babysitter and co-driver with her husband, William, an over the road truck driver. She loved to cook and could be found in her kitchen at all times cooking or canning items from her garden. She was also a member of the Holly Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William McClain; two sons, Mitch (Lisa) McClain and Brian (Heather) McClain, both of Brighton; a daughter-in-law, Tina McClain of Brighton; three sisters, Faye (Chuck) Raggo of Brighton, Sue (Bill) Worthy of Covington and Jan (Larry) Stafford of Brighton; nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsworth and Ceo Rose McPherson; one son, Robbie McClain; one sister, Ruth Gibson and one brother, Ronnie McPherson. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
