Jean Baddour, of Covington, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Tipton. She was called home to be with the Lord on her 93rd birthday. Mrs. Jean was a member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, and co-owner of Baddour’s Department Store. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Baddour (Bob) Smith; her son, Jim (Elizabeth) Baddour, III; one brother, Hyatt (Diane) Williams; six grandchildren, George Robert (Erin) Baddour, Ben (Kristy) Baddour, Will Smith, Matt (Leigh Anne) Smith, Clay Smith, and Robert E. Tribble, III; six great-grandchildren, Weston Baddour, Raegan Baddour, Henry Baddour, Cate Baddour, Lilly Kate Smith and GrAy Smith, and her caretaker, Judy Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Baddour, Jr.; two brothers, R. D. Williams and Jimmy Williams; one sister, Mary Nel Gray, and her parents, Robert Jesse and Maude Williams. A graveside service for Mrs. Jean will be held at 3pm on Sunday, February 5th at Covington Memorial Gardens, with Mike Pence to officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 2:30pm at Covington Funeral Home on Sunday. Serving as pallbearers are George Robert Baddour, Ben Baddour, Nelson Williams, Hyatt Williams, Phil Shoaf, and Ron Goforth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations by mail be made to Mt.
