James Lee

James Lee, 73, of Brighton, passed away on Monday, May 14.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at the funeral home.  Mr. Lee was a self-employed cabinet maker and a U. S. Navy Veteran.  He is survived by his wife, Grace Lee; three daughters, Tammy Lee (Bobby) Flowers of Brighton, Sherry Lee (Tommy) Thrasher of Rosemark and Jamie (Cori Peete) Lee of Atoka; four sisters, Betty Jean Nelson of Big Rock, TN, Mary Elizabeth Meeks of Fountain, NC, Brenda (Richard) Vandiford of Ayden, NC and Joyce Toler of Greenville, NC; one brother, Jerry Lee of Spring Hope, NC; six grandchildren, Bud Erwin, Hannah Rice, Thomas Thrasher, Casey James Thrasher, Mikey Wright and Morgan Lee Wright; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
