James "Handsome Jimmy" Caulkins, 69, of Burlison, passed away on Wednesday, June 13. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Randolph Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 15. Mr. Caulkins was a retired sheet metal worker with Knight and Wilson and a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Caulkins; three daughters, Denise Auger, Carla Carothers and Maribeth Richardson, all of Burlison; one sister, Geraldine Murphy of Drummonds; one brother, Clifford Caulkins, Jr. of North Carolina and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristy Doyle; his parents, Clifford and Dealiah Caulkins; four sisters, Charlotte Gillihan, Fannie Ruth Hathcock, Betty Jean Cox and Shirley Caulkins and one brother, Bill Caulkins.
