Houston “Stuffy” Perry, 81, of Mason, passed away on Monday, March 13 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. Mr. Perry retired from Rose Construction after 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Virginia Stafford Perry; one daughter, Brenda Ballard of Burlison; two sons, Basil Perry of Houston, TX and Houston “Buddy” Perry of Covington; two sisters, Shirley Childress of Texas and Mary Pearl Stinger of Springfield, OR; two brothers, Stanley Perry and William Perry, both of Covington; one step-daughter, Debbie Burrows; one step-son, Paul Broughton; one grandson, Scott Smith; seven step-grandchildren, five great grand children and four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Franklin and Nancy Perry; the mother of his children, Nadine Carlton Stewart; one brother, Franklin “Buck” Perry; one sister, Bertha May Frank and one stepson, Johnny Broughton. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
