Gregg Brewer

Gregg Brewer, 65, of Millington, passed away on Monday, February 14 at the Veterans Adminstration Hospital in Memphis. Mr. Brewer was a U. S. Navy veteran, a former deputy with the Tipton County Sheriff’s office, a former Juvenile Court Officer in Shelby County and most recently an over the road truck driver. He is survived by one son, Gregg Brewer, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Gail Patterson of Atoka, one brother, Dudley Brewer of Byhalia, MS; one uncle, Edgar Powers of Parma, OH and eight grandchildren, Jonathan Patterson, Daniel Brewer, Joshua Patterson, Jordan Patterson, Anthony Meadors, Aribella Brewer, David Hinnard and Kristiona Hinnard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Doris Powers Brewer; his wife, June Brewer, one daughter, Ginger Hinnard and two grandchildren, Gabrielle Brewer and Cathlena Hinnard. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 19 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior the service at the funeral home.
