Greg Hopkins, 63, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, January 16. Mr. Hopkins was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone in anyway he could. Anyone who knew him loved him. He was always happy and smiling - a lot of his friends call him "Smiley". He is survived by his mother, Bessie Hopkins; his wife, Roxie Hopkins; one son, Clifton Hopkins; three daughters, Amy Hopkins, Ashley (Steven) Anthony and Erin Hopkins; one brother, Cary (Angie) Hopkins; one sister, Margaret (James) Click and seven grandchildren, Paxton Anthony, Sam Anthony, Marilois Ussery, Owen Ussery, Alston Crouch, Carleigh Hopkins and Braydon Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Hopkins; one nephew, Niklas Smith and one niece, Jordan Eno. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 18 at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.
