Georgia Dixon

Georgia Etta Howard Dixon, age 88, of Memphis, formerly of Burlison, passed away on July 1, 2024. She was a retired bookkeeper and office manager of Mid America Credit, a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and a former ballroom dance instructor at the McWherter Center in Memphis.

Ms. Georgia is survived by her brother, Danny Howard, her sister, Eunice Rose, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Baskins Howard; three brothers, Thurston Howard, Herman Howard, and James Howard; two sisters, Yvonne Orcott and Vickie Thompson, and her husband.

Cremation is under the direction of Covington Funeral Home, and services are pending at this time.
