Georgia Coats

Georgia Jane Webb Coats, age 89, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Forest Cove Nursing Home in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born on February 28, 1934 to Lee Richmond and Ruthey Mae Rushing Jones, in Ridgely, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and enjoyed cooking, entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She leaves behind many treasured memories in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Roscoe Webb; one son, James Kenneth Webb, and her husband James “Buddy” Coats. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Nyoka Zowada (Mike); her sons, Herman Richmond Webb (Sherri), and Donnie Rex Webb (Louann), and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and extended family members. The family will receive friends for a celebration of life visitation at Covington Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18, from 1pm until 3pm. Interment services will be private.
