Gene Mashburn, Sr.

Gene Mashburn, Sr., 81, of Munford, passed away on Wednesday, June 26.  Mr. Mashburn was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Mueller Brass.  He is survived by two sons, Gene Mashburn, Jr. of Munford and Brad Mashburn of Millington; one daughter, Kimberly (Danny) Payne of Munford; three grandchildren, Heather Mashburn (Brett) Kirk, Daniel Payne and Emily Payne and five great grandchildren, Rylee Kirk, Ellie Kirk, Finley Kirk, Callan Peridore and Payne Peridore.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Lents Mashburn; his parents, W. E. and Nannie Hopkins Mashburn; three brothers, Malcom Mashburn, George Mashburn and William Mashburn and two sisters, Mary Taliaferro and Betty Smith.  Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.
