Gary Dawson Jackson Sr.

Our family sadly lost a pillar on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, when Gary Dawson Jackson Sr. unexpectantly passed away. Gary is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 48 years, Mrs. Patricia McLillie Jackson; their daughter and son-in law, Ed and Janie; their grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Ruthie, and Dawson; and their great grandson, Tate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim G. Jackson and Roberta R. Jackson; his siblings, Sam Jackson and Barbara Tankersley; and his only son Gary Dawson Jackson Jr. 

Gary tirelessly served Tipton County for 14 years as a dedicated public servant and as the Assistant Director of Public Works and was a faithful member of Brighton Church of Christ. Gary Jackson was respected by all those who met him and deeply loved by those who were fortunate enough to be family and friends.

A visitation for Gary Jackson will be held on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, at Covington Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a memorial service at 5 p.m. No graveside services will be held. Family and friends are invited for a fellowship meal that will be held at Brighton Church of Christ immediately following the conclusion of services
