Gail Coots

Gail Coots, 73, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, December 23. Ms. Coots was a retired beautician and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tony Coots; one daughter, Tina (Alan) Guess of Covington; one granddaughter, Holli (Brian) Yarbro of Covington; one great granddaughter, Raelynn Yarbro; one sister, Wylia Jo (Jimmy) Flatt of Newbern; two step-daughters, Staci Hines of Auburn, KY and Toni Malcolm of Columbia, TN and one step-son, Scott Reed of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Leona William Allmon and one sister, Johnnie Allmon Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, January 4 at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to either Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or the Holly Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
