Franklin Burks

Franklin Burks, 81, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, December 17. Mr. Burks was a retired Ag pilot, retired truck driver, attended the Memphis Art College, was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a U. S. Air Force Veteran. Mr. Burks is survived by his wife, Donna Burks; three daughters, Shannon Burks of Indiana, Celeste Wilson of Missouri, Aubrey Autumn Ray Burks of Brighton; one son, Chuck Pyatt of Brighton; six grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend of 30 years, Ralph Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 20 at the Covington Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Burks loved his God and his family, was strong in his faith, died with dignity and will be greatly missed by all.
