She resided in Drummonds for her entire life and was a 1956 graduate of Munford High School. She was a lifelong member of Poplar Grove Methodist Church, an Eastern Star, the Mary Bryan Book Club and was a softball coach. Many knew her as Ms. Faye, where she worked at Drummonds Elementary from 1972 to 2003 as the secretary.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, going on trips or playing cards with the card ladies. Family gatherings at her home created memories and love that leaves a legacy to her family that will last forever. Sunday lunch at Granny’s, Christmas Eve and Easter Egg Hunts are among the occasions she made sure were special for her family. Not only did she touch the lives of her family but she filled many roles for the students at DES whether it be the secretary, nurse, or fill-in grandma for 31 years. Her legacy will live on by everyone who was loved by her.
We would like to thank her two caregivers, Terri Groves and Mary Riordan for taking great care of our Mother/Granny in her final years.
