Evelyn Kay McClung, 75, of Stanton, passed away on Wednesday, September 15 at her home. Ms. McClung was the former owner/operator of the Teach A Tot Day Care Center. She is survived by her husband, Jerry McClung; three daughters, Lori Dowdy of Covington, Susie (Jeffrey) Parsons of Ripley and Daphne Sanders of Stanton; two sons, Perry McClung of Randolph and Franklin (Flor) Rosas; one brother, Verble Ballard of Henning; two sisters, Brenda Wakefield of Memphis and Norma Mills of Burlison; seven grandchildren, Rachael (Ricky) Rickard, Ross Trenton (Judy) Hoy, Ryan Chase (Lia) Phillips, John Chandler (Jordyn) Phillips, Andres Rosas, Belen Rosas and Elizabeth Rosas and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Inez Ballard; two sisters, Paulette Wilson and Sylvia Crewse and two brothers, Freddie Ballard and Doyle Ballard. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 19 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Randolph Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
