Eric Randall Howard

Eric Randall Howard, 39, of Covington, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26th, 2023. Eric leaves his mother and father, Cindy and Harold Howard, his sister, Laura Howard Kellum (Brandon), and his 3 nieces, Emma Howard, LuAnna and Abby Anne Kellum, in addition to a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, M.B. and Cathryne Howard, Norma and Robert Turner, and Bubba and Emily Cates. Eric was a 2002 graduate of Covington High School and worked various jobs throughout his adult life. Eric loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Those who were fortunate enough to truly know Eric recognized him as one who loved deeply. Eric had a smile that would melt your heart, and his laugh was contagious. He ended nearly every conversation with those he cared for with a “love you." He knew Jesus Christ as his Savior, and on December 5th, 2021, he chose to participate in believer’s baptism at Oak Grove Baptist Church where he was a member. Eric loved and was loved by many, who will continue to cherish the time and memories they shared with him. A Celebration of Eric’s life will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 3 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Walton Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Monday and until service time at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the following: Oak Grove Baptist Church (4048 Hwy 59 West, Covington, TN) “Restoring Hope” (Life Recovery Group) at Victory Baptist Church (275 Faye Barfield Road, Henning, TN 38041) Eric would be honored that we are helping others as he would have done.
