Emily Oliver

Emily Gookin OIiver, 65, of Covington, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.  Emily was a retired administrator with the Covington Board of Education and a former nursery school teacher at the Methodist-Presbyterian Nursery School. 

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Oliver (Josh) Grubb of Pawleys Island, SC; her father and step-mother, Ed and Mimi Gookin of Olive Branch, MS and three grandchildren, Olivia Grubb, Elijah Oliver and Caleb Oliver.  She was preceded in death by her son, Josh Drew Oliver and her mother, Irma Billings Gookin.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 14 at R. H. Munford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday, August 14 at the Covington Funeral Home.
