Edwin Tickle

Edwin T. Tickle, 92, of Eden, TX, passed away on Sunday, February 10.  Memorial services will be held at  2 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at the Paint Rock First United Methodist Church in Paint Rock, TX.  Mr. Tickle was a retired rancher, attended Texas A&M University, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, achieving the rank of Petty Officer, and served as Honorary Director of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association, District 4.  Born on July 22, 1926 in Runnels County, TX to the late Herbert and Cora Carter Tickle, he married Oleta Joyce Smith of Hopkins Co, TX on July 14, 1953 and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2013.  Mr. Tickle is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Jones of Covington, TN; one son, Richard Wayne Tickle of Eden, TX; one grandson, David Dennis, Jr. and his wife, Dr. Amanda Dennis of Lexington, SC and two great grandchildren, Parker McKethan Dennis and Ava Belle Dennis. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
