Edward Patton

Edward "E V" Patton, 82, of Brighton, passed away on Tuesday, January 24 at Methodist Hospital - North in Memphis. "E V" loved country music and sang at the Strand Theater in Millington for 28 years. He was a U. S. Army National Guard veteran and a retired lineman with MLG&W. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Patton; one son, Jim (Angie) Patton; one daughter, Pamela Orman; two brothers, Billy (Doris) Patton and Jerry (Sharon) Patton; one sister, Ruby Patton; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 28 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
