David “Fletch” Fletcher, 67, of Ripley, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 30 at Lauderdale Community Hospital in Ripley. Mr. Fletcher was a retired machinist with Mueller Brass in Covington, having worked there for 33 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and UT and Dallas Cowboys football fan. He is survived by his fiancée, Penny Grear of Ripley; four daughters, Rhonda (Michael) Dixon of Trenton, KY, Candice (Michael) Fletcher of Brighton, Kathrine (Quentin) Collins of Brighton and Jessica Fletcher of Ripley; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Paul Grear Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, November 4 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
