David Faught

David Faught, age 74, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, December 6^th at Methodist Germantown Hospital.  During his working years, he was a delivery driver with Turner Dairy, and retired after 30 years of employment, and was a member of Quail Ridge Church of Christ, where he and his wife Martha attended faithfully.  He was laid back and easy-going, loved going to the beach with his family every year, and could often be found birdwatching.  He especially liked watching the cardinals. Mr. David loved his Corvettes, and attending the Barrett-Jackson car auctions, and much like the cars he loved, David was the finest, and rarest, and one-of-a-kind.  A loving husband, father, brother, “Uncle Dave,” and “Pawpaw,” David Faught was a good Christian man, and meant so much to so many people.

To cherish his memory he leaves his beloved wife, Martha Faught; two children, Denise (Eric) Lynch and James Davis; three grandchildren, Lisha (Chris) Williams, Justin (Mary-Hannah) Davis, and Johnathon Davis; three great-grandchildren, Alex Baker, Hudson Davis, and Ellie Davis; his sister, Joyce (Melvin) Wall; two nephews, Terry (Karen) Wall and Mark (Buffy) Wall; and four great-nieces and great-nephews, Logan Wall, Ellie Hoffman, Curtis Wall, and Kallie Kirkpatrick.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Zola Lee Mashburn Faught.

Funeral services for Mr. Faught will be held at 2pm on Monday, December 11^th at Covington Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation for friends and family will be held from 12 noon until service time.
