David A. Allbright, 70, of Brownsville, passed away on Sunday, September 26 at the West Tennessee Healthcare Hospital in Dyersburg. Born on August 26, 1951 in Dansville, NY to the late Richard and Jennie Allbright, he spent his teen years working on a farm and was an avid gardener, outdoorsman and loved all animals. He retired from CSX as an Engineer/Conductor and was a U. S. Army veteran. He is survived by one son, Brian Allbright (James Compton)of West Harford, CT; his fiancé, Marie Leach of Brownsville; one step-son, Ben Leach of Brownsville; one step-daughter, Heather Baier (Adam) of Rochester, NY; two brothers, Peter A. Allbright of Florida and Bruce R. Allbright of Pike, NY; three grandchildren, Carolyn Compton-Allbright, Thomas Compton-Allbright and Jefferson Compton-Allbright, all of West Hartford, CT; three step-grandchildren, Kaylee Leach, Samantha Baier and Abigail Baier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Meredith Allbright; one son, Jason Allbright and one step-son, Richard Leach. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home with memorial services planned at a later date in New York.
