Darrell Hooks

Darrell Hooks, 79, of Brighton, passed away on Wednesday, November 23 at his home. Mr. Hooks was a retired welder. He loved his cats and his Fords! He is survived by one son, Steve Hooks of Brighton; one daughter, Samantha (Richard) Cook of Truman, AR; five grandchildren, Blake (Lauryn) Hooks, Jessie Hooks, Amber Sisco, Tyler Bryant and Stephanie (Johnathan) Stotts; five great grandchildren, Preston Bishop Hooks, Amelia Sisco, Lynnlea Bryant, Alma Stotts and Hollis Stotts; two brothers, Rickey Hooks and Terry Hooks, both of Brighton and two sisters, Barbara Boyd of Brunswick, TN and Mary Lou Thompson of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Nina Lou Stafford Hooks; his wife of 56 years, Brenda Fay Hooks and two sisters, Virginia Gray and Donnie Sue Wright. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 28 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Arlington. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday and until service time at 1 at the funeral home.
