Danny Paul Gross, age 69, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Methodist North in Memphis. He was a delivery driver with Pepsi-Cola for over 34 years until he retired. He loved his Pepsi truck and his pulling truck “The Terror of Chigger Ridge.” Mr. Danny was an hummingbird enthusiast, loved spending time with his grandkids, and was known for his CB handle “Paint Dauber.” Danny Paul leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Jerry Lynn Gross; two children, Danna Gross and Richie (Amy) Gross; one brother, Allen (June) Gross; one sister, Mavis Lumpkin; nine grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Madison Gross, Piper Aswell, Brody Smith, Annalise Beanblossom, Dominic Gross, Shelby Smith, Abigail Armstrong, Daisy Smith, and Sloane Aswell; six nieces and nephews and family members whom he loved like his own children, Shawn Gross, Terry Lynn Higdon, Angela Aswell, Leslie Colbert, Keith Lumpkin, and Jeff Lumpkin, and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rowland Hall and Pearly Pauline Harchfield Gross; two sisters, Betty Tankersley and Loree Wilma Gross; one brother, Terry Gross; one nephew, Karry Lee Tankersley; two grandchildren, Lorraine Loree Gross, Danni Lynn Smith, and an infant grandchild, and his two beloved pups, Pepper Jack and Pepsi. Funeral services for Mr. Danny Paul Gross will be held on Sunday, August 29, at First Baptist Church of Atoka. Visitation for friends and family members will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the funeral to begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Campground Cemetery in Drummonds immediately following the funeral service.
