Dale Boyd

Roger Dale Boyd, age 58, of Covington, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. He was a painter by trade, working for Industrial Painting, Co. the majority of his career. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and fishing, but more than anything, he loved spending time with his grandkids. Mr. Dale was preceded in death in January 2020 by his beloved wife, Bendy Boyd, and also by his father, Roger Eugene Boyd, in 1997. He is survived by his daughters, Gypsy (Michael) Hall, Sonya Boyd, Jennifer McKelvey, and Samantha Elliott; his sisters, Roxie Willis, Debbie Smallwood, and Carolyn Billingsley; his mother, Martha Marie Elam Boyd; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Covington Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery will be held on Saturday, August 5th at 11 a.m. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
