Collin Gray, 59, of Covington, passed away on Monday, January 3 at his home. Mr. Gray was a service writer with Carey’s Body Shop in Millington. He worked in the body shop business for 40 years. Collin was a former member of the Garland Fire Dept., a part-time DJ, loved sports, especially water sports, was a NASCAR fan and a diehard Tennessee Vols fan. He is survived by two daughters, Laina Gray and Leanna Gray, both of Burlison; two grandchildren, Knoxten and Embry; his father, Bobby (Betty) Gray of Arlington; three sisters, Rhonda (Danny) Simmons of Arlington, Jan (Craig) Ingram of Martin, TN and Libby Blair of Arlington; one brother, Tony (Joni) Glenn of Atoka and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Stiles Glenn and a daughter, Leah Marie Gray. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 6 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 on Thursday and continue until service time at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
