Cody Moses, 31, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Regional One in Memphis after sustaining injuries from the devastating tornado that damaged his home on Friday evening. Cody was a goofy and fun-loving guy, who enjoyed clowning around and joking with others. He was kind-hearted, and loyal, sometimes even to a fault. He was a loving son, brother, boyfriend, and friend, and his loss will be felt by many. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Belinda (Jeff) Hazlerig; his father, Corey Moses; his siblings, Ashlee (Jordan) Whittington, Corey Moses, II, Kacie Williams, Laura Poole, Preston Moses, Kaleigh Waldron, and Cadan Vaughn; his girlfriend of ten years, Cayla Carver; his nieces and nephews, Carson Ayers, Stella Williams, Macie Moses, and Noah Whittington; his grandfather, Edgar Moses, and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Rose, and his grandparents, Tommy and Peggy Davis, and Vera Murchison. Funeral services for Cody will be held on Friday, April 7, at 1pm at Covington Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11am until service time.
