Chasity McClain

Chasity McClain, 39, of Ripley, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 21. Ms. McClain was the assistant manager of the Dollar Tree in Covington. She is survived by her mother, Tammy Michelle McClain Leopard of Brighton; her father, Richard Otis Benard of Covington; her fiancé, Heather Nichole Hemby of Ripley, TN; her children, Charles Lanceford (Melissa) Whitehead of Ripley, MS, Brady Cole Whitehead and Mason Cole Lindsey, both of Ripley, TN; her sister, Mary Kathryn (Lou-Lou) Leopard of Covington; her brother, Bradley (Amber) Benard of Covington; her grandmother, Nancy Benard of Covington; her aunts, Teresa Ann (Terry) Sage of Brighton and Mary Benard Kelly of Covington; and two uncles, Charles Patrick (Kayla) Daugherty of Covington and Bobby Lewis Benard of Covington, and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Roby McClain, Peggy Ann Bowles McClain and Bobby Otis Benard and her great grandparents, Mary Sue "Big Mama" Hartsfield McClain, Robert Lee "Big Daddy" McClain, Nora Kathryn Fleming Bowles and Robert Cohen Bowles. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in R. H. Munford Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
