Carol Ann Mosley

September 4, 1961 — April 26, 2022

Carol Ann Mosley, age 60, of Covington, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis. She worked as a rural route letter carrier for USPS in Covington. Born in Cookeville, TN to parents James Douglas and Barbara Jean Pinkston Mayberry, Carol Ann was one of four children. From an early age, she was a “daddy’s girl,” and thought her father hung the moon. As she grew up and had children of her own, Ms. Carol wanted to share the sense of love and belonging with her family, and all those that came into her life. Her home away from home was the baseball fields in Covington, where she worked the concession stands and cheered on her children. She was a hands-on parent, involved and supportive, and that extended far out into the community. Her home full of love wasn’t limited to just her children, but to their friends, teammates, and any other child that needed a safe haven, as well. “Momma C” as she was often called was protective, giving, opinionated, and larger-than-life, and always made sure everyone knew their worth. Ms. Carol also had a soft spot for animals (except worms and other slithery critters.) If there was ever an animal in need of rescue, she was there with open arms to show kindness and love, providing safety and a home to those in need, and that kindness and compassion is something that she instilled in her children. Carol Ann Mosley is survived by her husband, Stacy Mosley; her daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Kyle Massey; her son and daughter-in-law, Bryce and Lauren Mosley; two grandchildren who called her “Granny,” and whom she loved with her whole being, Levi Massey and Tess Mosley; her mother, Barbara Mayberry; her brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Beth Mayberry; her sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Mike Mooneyham; her sister Vickie Mayberry, and her fur babies – three cats and three dogs. She was preceded in death by her father, James Douglas Mayberry. Memorial services will held on Thursday, May 5, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel at Covington Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to C.A.R.E. – Covington Animal Rescue Effort
