Willie "Buddy" Murray

Willie Dewitt "Buddy" Murray, 76, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, June 29 at Covington Care Nursing Home. Mr. Murray was a mechanic, specializing in motorcycle repair. He is survived by one daughter, Annette Murray (John) Wireman of Michigan; one son, Virgil Glenn (Jennifer) Murray of Texas; three grandchildren, Tuff Wireman, Portia Ney Bowers and Fionn Murray; one brother, Lynwood Murray of Texas; one sister, Dorothy Jones of Henning and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Zelma Murray, his daughter, Virginia Gail Murray, and six siblings, Junior Murray, Robert Murray, Bonnie Jackett, Helen Jackson, Virgil Murray and Aubrey Murray. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 3 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
