Brett Malone

Brett Malone, 57, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, November 22.  The husband of Missy Malone, he leaves three sons, Mason Malone of Cordova, Ryan Malone and Kaden Malone, both of Brighton; one daughter, Breanna Malone of Brighton; his parents, Joe and Betty Malone of Brighton;  one sister, Melanie Malone of Burlison and his favorite in-laws, Gary and Janet Newman.  Brett was an avid fisherman with his nickname being “the crappie slayer” and he took his fishing secrets with him to the grave.  He was also an avid golfer.  Brett worked for Texas Gas for 28 years most recently serving as a District Office Administrator.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Clopton Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, November 26 at the funeral home.
