Terry Bradley "Brad" Gray

March 20, 1969 — March 19, 2023

Brad Gray, 53, of Mason, left to go home to be with Jesus in Tupelo, MS on March 19, 2023 surrounded by his family. Brad went bravely in to heart surgery but could not recover with limited movement and lung capacity. Brad grew up on the family farm and was a natural at mechanics, always strong as an ox (Tank was his football nickname) and everyone loved his laugh and smile. His mother Dolly always said he was the happiest baby and child and that never changed. We can not begin to count all his friends and we are sure they will always think of him on his three wheeler with one knee on the seat and the other foot down always standing. You can close your eyes and just his stocky build ridin' around! He was a proud driver of "Plum Crazy", his pulling truck and loved the color purple. Going to see him, he had a purple Camaro and even his last wheelchair, he special ordered it and, of course it was PURPLE! Nothing made him happier than to serve and minister to the youth or who ever needed it! Brad loved discipleship. His hours were spent playing Rock Band, Halo, driving kids around in the Holly Grove bus and going to see as many of the kids play their sports or whatever activities they were in. Brad loved camps, all the way from church to youth camps and was a member of the Memphis Emmaus/Chrysalis Community. One of his dreams was to go on a mission trip and he got to go to Honduras for an amazing week of service and witness. Brad was a wonderful son and Terry, his daddy, said “all of Brad’s years, he never once raised his voice or had an ugly word to me”. Very few can say that! He was “little brother” to Wade, always just happy to be in his shadow and as older brother to Courtney, always her protector from day one until he left! We as a family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends celebrate the life and love that he shared with us! Fly with Christ! Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 27 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Arlington. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. He is survived by his parents, Terry and Dolly Gray of Mason; his brother, Wade (Kelley) Gray of Garland; his sister, Courtney (Bubba) Twisdale of Mason; his niece and nephews, Rylee (JB) Laxton, Wesley Gray, Drew (Kali) Twisdale, Hunter (Virginia) Twisdale and a host of family and friends who loved him very much. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Holly Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church Youth Group.
