Bobby Gene Carver

Bobby Gene Carver, 83, of Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, April 12 at his home. Mr. Carver was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Georgia V. Carver; three daughters, Barbara (Tony) Taylor of Charleston, Melissa (Michael Shane) Thurmond of Gold Canyon, AZ and Jodie (Will) White of Charleston; four sisters, Martha Murchison of Covington, Wanda Carver of Cordova, Anna Fultz of Drummonds and Phyllis Avato of Atoka; two brothers, Lonnie Carver of Charleston and Bennie Carver of Covington; five grandchildren, Tucker (Jennifer) Taylor, Whitney (John Evan) McPherson, Dustin (Tiffany) Thurmond, Chasity (Austin) Fleming and Seth (Maddie) White and seven great grandchildren, Ava Thurmond, Easton McPherson, Nathaniel Thurmond, Waverly Taylor, Finley McPherson, Haddon James Thurmond and Amelia Thurmond (coming June, 2022). He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward "Gillie" and Hazel Cook Carver; three sisters, Hazel Marie Carver, Minnie Sue Carver and Bessie Lou Gordon and three brothers, R. E. Carver, II, Odis Carver and Lawrence Carver. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 15 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in the Charleston Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday and until service time at 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
