Bobby Lewis Benard

Bobby Lewis Benard, 63, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, September 21 at Baptist Hospital-Memphis. He leaves his mother, Nancy Helen Benard; one sister, Mary Benard Kelly; one daughter, Misty Jean Benard; two step-children, Opal "Kelly" Cochran and James "Jimmy" Leonard Cochran (who he considered his own); nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Deverell; his father, Bobby Otis Benard; one brother, Richard Otis Benard; one sister, Patricia Helen Benard; his wife, Norma Jean Benard and one daughter, Bobbie Jean Morgan. He was a retired auto body finisher for 32 years. He was a beloved painter, husband and father. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 26 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
