Betty Sue Kight

March 7, 1945 — December 27, 2022

Betty Sue Kight, age 77, of Drummonds, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife of almost 60 years to her husband Ray, a mother and grandmother, and the center of attention of every room she graced with her presence. Mrs. Betty had a knack for knowing everything about everybody, all the time. She was a kind-hearted and generous woman, who set out to help anyone and everyone in need. She loved her babies and grandbabies, as well as her church family and community kids that grew up at her home right alongside her own children. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Ray Kight, two daughters, Amy (Charles) Holland and Kim (Keith) Dollahite, and two granddaughters, Emily Holland and Teagan Dollahite. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Eva Martin Salmon, and four siblings, Lois Geneva Delashmit, Allison Duke Salmon, Shirley Endricks, and Roy Salmon. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty will be held on Saturday, December 31, at 11 a.m. at Covington Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday evening at the funeral home, from 4pm until 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of meals or love offerings be made to Mr. Ray, to help ease the stress and heartache of Mrs. Betty’s passing.
