Barry Lee Thompson

Barry Lee Thompson, 72, of Tiptonville, formerly of Covington, passed away on Monday, January 25. Mr. Thompson was a retired salesman with the Deep South Company and a U. S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shirley Thompson; three daughters, Anny Lynette (Larry) Vaughn of Covington, Sheri (Donnie) Richardson of Covington and Kristy Thompson of Tiptonville; one brother, Danny Thompson of Memphis; two sisters, Carolyn Hadley of Covington and Martha Godwin of Kentucky; six grandchildren, Marcus Degrazia, Ashley Degrazia, Kaycee Jones, Colby T. Mason, D. J. Richardson and Brady Richardson and one great grandchild, Carson Degrazia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Doris Gray Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 28 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 at the funeral home.
