Barry Laxton

Barry Laxton, 72, of Brighton, passed away on Saturday, July 11. Mr. Laxton worked as a barber for 50 years retiring from Scottie's in Millington and was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Murdoch of Brighton and Susan Phillips of Dyersburg and four grandchildren, Brittany Phillips, Robert Phillips, Amelia Wortham and Matthew Murdoch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sidney and Kate Hutchison Laxton; his wife, Mary Ann Laxton and a brother, Dale Laxton. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
