Anthony Michael Whiteman

Anthony Michael Whiteman of Covington, TN, age 15, a 10th grader at Covington High School, went to be with his Savior, Lord Jesus Christ Friday, October 1, 2021, after being the victim of a hit and run Thursday evening September 30th, 2021 in Covington, TN. Anthony was born in DuBois, PA April 14, 2006. Anthony had intentions of going into the United States Army to accomplish similar things as his grandfather, Ben who was in U.S. Navy as a Flight Engineer. He loved the outdoors, riding his custom chopper style bike, being with his friends, playing Call of Duty and helping everybody he could. He decided early on in life that he wanted to be an organ donor. He was pronounced brain dead and was kept on life support until the recipients of his gifts were prepped and ready to receive his organ donations. Even in death, Anthony was helping others. He was able to help 7 other children. He is survived by his loving parents, David and Jennifer Ferguson Whiteman of Covington, TN; his brothers, Leo and Eric of Covington, TN; his very best friend, Nikolas Fretz of Munford, TN; his aunts, Mary Runyon (Jackie) of PA, Christina Fretz (Rebel) of Munford, TN, Mary Arnold (James) of MI; his uncles, Scott (Sherry) Ferguson of PA, Grant (Destiny) Ferguson of PA, and Larry (Lisa) Ferguson of PA.; grandparents, Ben (Lisa) Roman of Brighton, TN; tons of cousins and friends everywhere he went. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl L Ferguson and Ester L Coldwell Ferguson, Hayes Curtis Weatherwok, Charlotte Louise Trucksler; uncles, Eric Rhymebolt and Todd Ferguson; aunts, Ester Ferguson "Little E" and Donna Sunderland; cousin, Dawn Roman. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m., October 14, 2021 Funeral services for Anthony are Friday at 12:00p.m., October 15, 2021 at Covington Funeral Home 3499 Highway 51 South Covington, TN 38019 Burial is directly after at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery on the same property.
