Ann Strong, 79, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, December 2. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, December 4 at the Salem ARP Church in Atoka. Funeral services will be private. Ms. Strong was a retired bookkeeper with Jon Strong Construction. She is survived by her daughter, Terri (Dale) Smith of Atoka; three grandchildren, Noel (Neil) Howe of Atoka, Hannah (Paul) Maddux of Arlington and Jon Chisolm (Brandy) Smith of Arlington; six great grandchildren, Dale Campbell Howe, Jackson Amos Smith, Weston Chisolm Smith, Smith Strong Howe, Nathaniel Hartman Maddux and Junie Grace Maddux; one sister, Myrna McIntosh (Billy) Myers of Covington; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Osbourn of Atoka and one brother-in-law, Chisolm Lee Strong of Atoka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Strong; her parents, Russell and Sarah Howard McIntosh and one brother, Walter McIntosh. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to either the Exchange Club/Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse or the American Cancer Society.
