Anita McWilliams Jeffries

Anita McWilliams Jeffries passed away at home on June 7, 2022. Anita was born in Covington, TN on March 27, 1948. She was born in the same home she grew up in with her four siblings. Though she had many different careers throughout her lifetime, she was most recently a clerk for the federal court system where she retired. She loved to travel and had so much knowledge of the world. She also enjoyed cooking and trying all different kinds of food. Anita was a very smart, loving, and giving woman. She spoiled and doted on her many nieces, great nieces, great great nieces, nephews, and great nephews. She is survived by her sister Sharon (Nickey) McWilliams Armstrong. She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Laura Pinner McWilliams; her father, Kirby Thurso McWilliams; her sister, Brenda McWilliams Ridley; and her brothers, Phillip McWilliams and Jerry McWilliams. Her memorial service will be on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Covington Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm with a short service to follow at 4:00pm. Per Anita’s request, there will be sparklers following the memorial service. If you are unable to attend, you can still light a sparkler of your own at sundown in her memory.
