Amy Denise Maxwell, beloved mother, GiGi, sister, and daughter, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the age of 48. She was born on November 10th, 1975, to her loving parents, Marilyn Bowden and Jimmy Maxwell.

Amy's life was defined by her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She was a dedicated mother to her daughter, Rylee Carver Partain, and took immense pride in watching her grow into the successful pediatric oncology nurse, devoted mom, loving wife, and remarkable woman she is today. Throughout Rylee's journey, Amy was her steadfast supporter, offering encouragement and unwavering belief in her daughter's abilities. She often shared with Rylee, "I don't care how long I am on this Earth or what I see as long as I get to watch you walk across that stage and get your degree". These words encapsulated Amy's deepest desires and dreams for her daughter, reflecting her boundless love and commitment to Rylee's happiness and success.

Amy’s heart overflowed with joy upon the arrival of her grandson, Paxton Partain, in 2019, cherishing every precious moment spent with him. Whether it was getting down on the living room floor to play with toys, giving piggyback rides, sharing laughter during bath time, baking cookies together, or embarking on adventures like Zoo Boo and a Christmas trip to Branson, MO, Amy embraced every opportunity to create memories with her beloved grandson. They shared countless special moments at the beach, at Lake Hamilton, and at Paxton’s birthday parties, as well as Christmas Eve sleepovers each year followed by priceless Christmas mornings together. Their bond was a testament to Amy’s boundless love and devotion to her family, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories that will endure forever.

Throughout her life, Amy exemplified selflessness and compassion. She had a generous spirit and found fulfillment in giving to others. Her kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impression that will be remembered fondly. Amy's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found solace and strength in her relationship with God. She was a dedicated member of the following churches during her life: Faith Baptist Church, Leigh’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and Hebron Community Church. She found joy in worship and fellowship with her community. Amy frequently rejoiced her favorite bible verse, "This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it” (Psalm 118:24). This verse served as a guiding principle, reminding her to embrace each day with gratitude and positivity.

Amy was an avid sports enthusiast. She grew up playing many sports. She was most proud of her accomplishments achieved through playing softball for Covington High School. She frequently enjoyed reminiscing on memories made with teammates and friends during her adolescence. Her love for sports continued throughout her life as she cheered on the Tennessee Volunteers and Dallas Cowboys.

On weekends, Amy spent time playing card games such as Phase 10 with family, finding joy in friendly competition and camaraderie. She had a passion for life and embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with her family. Beach trips, game nights, and shared meals were cherished moments that brought her immense happiness. Amy’s particular laugh will always be remembered as contagious and could light up any room.

Amy was reunited with her nephew, Nicholas Wayne Kellum (2000-2020), on March 19, 2024. Amy is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Maxwell, and step-father, David Bowden.
