Alfred Cooper, 79, of Drummonds, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. He was a self -employed carpenter and tile setter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and working with his hands, and would often make knives and other creations. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lucille Lindley Cooper; his son and daughter-in-law, Chris “Bud” and Jennifer Cooper; two grandchildren, Brady and Bayleigh Cooper, and 10 siblings, Larry (Bobbie) Cooper, Johnny (Mary) Cooper, Tommy (Diane) Cooper, Ricky (Patricia) Cooper, Carter Cooper, Dale (Sherry) Cooper, Delores (Billy Joe) Stringfellow, and Denise Jackson, all of Drummonds, Nancy Womack of Holly Grove, and Brenda Craig of Brighton. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Cooper, and three siblings, Edsel Cooper, Jerry Cooper, and Mary Nell Cullum. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 8, at 2:00p.m. in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. Rev. Don Billings will officiate the service. There is no visitation planned at this time.
