Bradley Walton “Brad” Melton January 6, 1972 – July 24, 2017 Bradley Walton “Brad” Melton, 45, of Covington, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24. Brad was employed by Southern Surgical Support as a surgical coordinator, graduated from Bartlett High School and attended Northwest Mississippi Junior College. Brad was a devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and employee. He was a kind and loyal friend to all he knew. Brad is survived by his mother, Sandra Gatlin Melton of Covington; his sister, Scarlet Melton (Terry) Jenkins of Vicksburg, MS; two brothers, Greg Melton of Munford and Mike Melton of Southaven. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by one niece, Sarah Melton (Jon) Lewman; three nephews, Kevin Melton and Jonathan Melton, both of Southaven and Hunter Melton of Munford and two great nephews, Luke and Logan. Many knew him as Uncle Brad! He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Ferrell Melton and his grandparents, Dorothy Gatlin McDaniel and Vernon Melton. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 28 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Brad’s memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
