Donald Scott January 23, 1947 - March 17, 2017 Donald Scott, 70, of Brighton, passed away on Friday, March 17. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m on Wednesday, March 22 at the funeral home. Mr. Scott was a chemical operator for Osmose and was a U. S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Vernice Scott; two sons, Chris Scott and Greg Scott, both of Brighton; two brothers, Ronnie Scott of Brighton and James Scott of Halfway, MO; one sister, Ruby Howse of Memphis; one granddaughter, Taylor Scott of Brighton and one grandson, Cade Scott of Brighton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Yarbrough and Lorriane Cobb; one brother, Jimmy Scott and his parents, Romas and Sam Ethel Scott.
